Thursday

And it's Thursday. Damn, it's almost Christmas weekend, and I'm wondering where the week went.

The previous week in ICT passed so s-l-o-w-l-y that we were all wondering when it was going to end. But it was good, to get away from the office and to breathe the diesel fumes in Gedung, to meet up and catch up with the people you have almost forgotten and to be able to curse and swear freely cos no one around would give a damn.

Things change and things stay the same. Incompetent warrant officers, bo chup officers, overly hardworking NSFs; they are all still there. More IT systems to and more civilians track IPPT and medical status but things don't look any much more efficient then when we did such things manually during our active days.

But I'll give it to them that the electronic IPPT system is way much better for NSmen who can wonder about and clear all the stations within half an hour depending in 2.4 speed of course :)...I almost passed, twice.

X'mas lunch gift exchange at the office today. Sam brought me two ties, which is just what I need and I got Angerline a set of very nice photo frames.

anGRy

So I'm back from ICT. I wanted to write a more complete entry today but in the afternoon I went down to Ikea to buy a shelving unit an a new computer desk for my room. The shelving unit was fine but the computer desk had missing components and it took no less than four trips and several rude and unhelpful Ikea people to get it fixed.

I'm so angry right now cos it's almost 10.30pm, my room's still a mess and all I wanted to do today was write about ICT and watch a few DVDs.

And Blogger Beta is slow.

Baby Changing Station

Don't like your baby? Wish you had a better one? Go to Singapore Expo, choose one of the "Baby Changing Stations" open the door and get a new one...

Saw this when I went to Expo for SITEX. Bought the Logitech Internet Pro wireless keyboard so that I can chat from my bed. Maybe when I buy a 19' or a 21' LCD in future, I'll do everything from my bed...
